Kleiman Evangelista Eye Center | 3025 Matlock Road | Arlington, TX 76015 | 1 (800) 214-2020 The Crystalens ProcedureIf Dr. David Kleiman or Dr. Anthony Evangelista finds that you are a good candidate for crystalens implants, then you will be treated on an outpatient basis. The procedure is relatively quick, and you shouldn’t be at the LASIK center for more than an hour or two on the day of surgery. Prior to surgery, Dr. David Kleiman or Dr. Anthony Evangelista will administer eye drops to anesthetize the eye and dilate the pupil. After this, your eye will be stabilized with a device to keep the eyelids open and the surgeon will make a small incision in your eye. From here, the cataract will be removed and the crystalens implant will be inserted. The procedure itself should take about twenty minutes. You will feel no pain, only slight pressure on your eye. And because only a single, miniscule incision is required, recovery is extremely fast and painless. Are You A Candidate? The crystalens IOL is for people who have been diagnosed with cataracts (with or without presbyopia) and are experiencing any of the following symptoms:
Certain conditions may limit your candidacy for crystalens. If you suffer from chronic infections, uncontrolled diabetes, or have previously undergone cataract surgery, this procedure may not be for you. Please feel free to contact the Kleiman Evangelista Eye Center for any questions or concerns you may have. |
